Anna Setton releases the single “Sigo dizendo sim”

Music is part of the new album, “O Futuro é mais bonito” which will be released on February 24th.

In a sea of positivity and love, “Sigo dizendo sim” takes Anna Setton into the pop waters. The new single by the Brazilian singer based in Portugal has the composition by Anna herself in partnership with Igor de Carvalho and will be released today. The song is part of the album “O futuro é mais bonito”, scheduled to be released on February 24th. The music video for the song, which also debuts on platforms today, is signed by the Casota collective and was filmed in Leiria. The theme and the album are published worldwide by Galileo Music and released in Brazil by the Zelo label, distributed by Alta Fonte Brasil.

Igor de Carvalho sent me this song that had already begun and I immediately fell in love with the way it talks about a love that goes along, despite the bad weather. But it doesn’t fall into that idea of a relationship that is maintained out of obligation, but because, despite the phases and moments, it is a relationship with passion, with admiration, with pleasure”, explains Anna Setton.

The new single shows a more pop side of Anna Setton who, she confesses, likes these changes.

We chose this song to be the album’s second single precisely because it has this more pop face and is different from “Saudade é little”. And from the point of view of the album, which intends to experiment with new sounds and explore more pop paths, “I still say yes” proved to be a good spokesperson for this motto. I really enjoyed the changes! I’m in a more open phase and more willing to do new things for myself. I think it even has to do with my move to Portugal and this new moment in my life”, explains Anna.

ABOUT ANNA SETTON
Anna Setton is a Brazilian singer and songwriter. Born in São Paulo, she exchanged her International Relations degree for microphones. She sang at night in São Paulo alongside great instrumentalists with whom she toured through the jazz, MPB, and bossa nova repertoire and, in 2011, had the singer Toquinho in the audience. At the same time, the invitation came to sing with him. Between 2011 and 2015, she performed as a guest singer of Toquinho in more than 200 concerts around the world.

In 2018, she released her first album, “Anna Setton”, produced by Swami Jr, musical director of the iconic Cuban singer Omara Portuondo, diva of Buena Vista Social Club. The disc brought the artist’s compositions to the public for the first time. Anna also lent her voice to a partnership with Edu Sangirardi, Toquinho, and Paulo César Pinheiro and to three re-recordings: “My voice, my life” (Caetano Veloso), “The legend of Abaeté” (Dorival Caymmi) and “Nature Boy” (Eden Ahbez).

He also participated in the last project directed by the renowned Brazilian musicologist Zuza Homem de Mello, “Copacabana – a dive into failed loves”, in addition to shows alongside João Bosco, Paulinho da Viola, Martinho da Vila, and Mônica Salmaso.

In 2020, with the onset of the pandemic, its production was marked by periodic and spontaneous lives – more than 70 in total. Through videos, she also collaborated at a distance, which kept communication active with the public and with other artists.

From this online experience, Anna Setton idealized “Onde mora meu coração”, her latest album, released in 2021. In this work, she sings, accompanied only by her guitar, and works by artists such as Caetano Veloso, Dona Ivone Lara, and Duke Ellington. And she even does a duet with Omara Portuondo.
