Antoine Launay eliminated in the semi-finals
Portuguese Antoine Launay failed to qualify for the final of the K1 slalom event at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
In the semi-finals held at the Kasai canoeing centre, 28-year-old Launay completed the course of a leg with the 11th best time (98.88 seconds), 43 hundredths off the Swedish Erik Holmer, who secured the 10th and last place that gave access to the final.
