António Cardoso wins the 17 km race at Transgrancanárias

The athlete António Cardoso, from the “Emicela Team Cabo Verde”, won Saturday the 17 km race of Transgrancanarias, in the Canary Islands, in an event in which the Creole team placed the four athletes with whom he participated in the two podiums.

It is that counting for the same discipline of 17 km, the athlete Edéna Lima, the only female athlete in this quartet, was in second place.

In the 30 km race, Wilson Cabral cut the finish in second place, followed by Gil Mendes, in third place.

Transgrancanarias is referred to as the largest ultratrail event in the Canary Islands, and has an increasingly repeated presence on the world stage.
