António M. Cabrita in Guimarães for a project that combines dance and photography
Under the direction of choreographer António M. Cabrita, Guimarães will host a project that brings together dance and photography on the upcoming days of October 12, 13, 19, and 20.
The Dance Week in Guimarães continues to make headlines and this time, it is presenting a unique and innovative project. Fearlessly, it will take participants on a journey between the body and technology, with each movement transforming into a visual artwork.
The Holographic Project, which has the support of DGArtes, combines dance and photography on October 12, 13, 19, and 20, at the Guimarães Ballet Academy. It will culminate in the creation of a video for later exhibition, with the central theme being “The Individual.”
Keeping one of the premises of Dance Week, this project presents itself as a creative reflection on multidisciplinary intersections and the use of different tools in the construction of the artistic object. It is yet another opportunity to provide young dancers in the city with moments of contact with different ways of thinking and being in dance.
These two weekends are designed for everyone over the age of 12 who enjoys culture, dance, photography, and video. With a cost of €30 for members of the Guimarães Dance Association and €60 for non-members, registration can be done through this link.
