António Zambujo and Yamandu Costa get together again for two concerts

Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisboa and Casa da Música, in Porto

António Zambujo and Yamandu Costa will reunite on stage at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, on March 1st, and at Casa da Música, in Porto, on March 8th, continuing to tread the path that unites them.

These two concerts take place after the occasion that brought both artists together in Lisbon, for the celebration of the 200 years of Independence of Brazil, in a celebration of harmony between two peoples in symbiosis of Lusophone rhythms.

António Zambujo is one of the greatest contemporary artists, authors and performers of Portuguese music and language, and one of its most notable ambassadors in the world. By incorporating influences from Brazilian songwriting, in particular Bossa Nova, he broke down borders, real and imaginary, bringing the 2 sides of the Atlantic together. With that, his music, first forged in the tradition of Cante Alentejano and Fado, created a unique personality and inspired a new cycle in national music.

Critically acclaimed, Yamandu Costa has delighted audiences wherever he has taken his unusual skill and sound. With unforgettable performances – solo, accompanied by other musicians, or with orchestras – he carries the hallmark of music from the south of the American continent, but admirably transits through different musical genres, forming, together with his seven-string guitar, a rare symbiosis.

Tickets for these two unique shows are already on sale at ticketline.pt and on the Casa da Música website.
