Another excellent night of Jazz in Cascais, the Festival took to the stage of the Hipódromo the Snarky Puppy, a band led by Michael League, who with his mixture of jazz, rock, world music, and funk livened up the night, Son of the Mother and B3 (Bi Brain Beat) were also on stage in the amphitheater of the Garden.
The beginning of the night started with B3 (Bi Brain Beat), who presented a repertoire of Jazz Fusion and World Music, which had the biggest flood ever seen at this festival, the amphitheater was really too small, for all those who want to see and hear them.
A project by Paulo Araújo and Jorge Correia, who released their first album in Introspeção in 2019, has already managed to win over many fans.
Opening the main stage we had Filho da Mãe, Rui Carvalho, the guitarist who is also a member of Linda Martini, and who took us on a journey of sounds and melodies.
The musician, an archaeologist by training, who also played in the punk-hardcore bands If Lucy Fell or I Had Plans, strummed his guitars with mastery, for an audience that started with just a few people, but filled up as they played, attracting everyone who was still in the food court.
Then it was time for Snarky Puppy to take the stage at CoolJazz, the American band of jazz fusion, world music, rock, and funk, it was an explosion of color and rhythm, conquering the public from the first chord, winner of 5 Grammy’s, came to Cascais to present their new album Empire Central.
Possessing a contagious energy, they gave themselves unrestrained on stage, making each concert a unique moment that everyone present wants to keep forever, and the concert at CoolJazz was no different, where in addition to the themes of the new album, they recalled their mythical themes, with which they delighted the public who were at the Cascais racecourse.
