HomePod mini is not a successor to HomePod launched in early 2018. This new version is more compact and therefore cheaper to give Apple the opportunity to compete with Amazon’s Echo and Google’s Home.
To make the HomePod mini as good as possible, Apple has taken into account the need to reduce sound noise for clearer music. Apple also included the S5 chip, which allows the speaker to have what the company calls computational audio that Apple indicates offers unprecedented quality.
Helping will be the Siri digital assistant, which users can use to ask the most varied questions. Apple indicates that Siri is faster than ever, challenging users to ask a question that the assistant is unable to answer.
Siri will also be able to initiate calls, write messages or even help locate the iPhone throughout your home. Note that it will be possible to record the voices of multiple inhabitants of a home, with the HomePod mini also allowing you to control multiple home devices scattered throughout the home.
The HomePod mini will be available in gray and white and will cost 99 dollars (84 euros). The column will hit stores on November 16. with the pre-sale period starting on the 6th of the same month.
