Apple is said to have regained its place as the biggest mobile phone seller in the fourth quarter of 2020, effectively overtaking Samsung for the first time since 2016.
The launch of the iPhone 12 was a major factor responsible for Apple’s success at the end of last year, with sales increasing by 14.9% compared to the same period in 2019. Samsung, on the other hand, saw a drop of 11.8%.
The analytics company also notes Xiaomi’s 33.9% increase and Oppo’s 12.8% jump during this period. Huawei, on the other hand, will have suffered a 41.1% drop at the end of 2020.
