Applications for the 8th edition of the Maria José Nogueira Pinto Award are already available on the official website of the prize and run until 12 May.
This is an initiative of corporate responsibility of MSD Portugal that aims to recognize innovative projects of the entities that integrate the social economy in the area of social responsibility, in Portugal.
The winner of the Maria José Nogueira Pinto Prize is awarded an amount of € 10,000 annually and each of the honorable mentions receives a monetary prize of € 1,000, in order to support and encourage institutions to continue their work.
In the last seven years, more than 660 applications were submitted and 30 projects were distinguished in different areas of social intervention in the national territory.
The winner of the 7th Edition was the Home Support Project for Dementia (PADD), from Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mogadouro.
This project aims to diagnose, monitor and monitor the various cases of dementia reported in the region, using geolocation devices to postpone the institutionalization of patients.
The Award Jury is chaired by Dr. Maria de Belém Roseira and consists of six other elements of recognized merit, suitability and reputation: Eng. Anacoreta Correia, Dr Clara Clara, Dr Isabel Saraiva, Monsignor Vítor Feytor Pinto , Prof. Dr. Jaime Nogueira Pinto and Dr. Pedro Marques, representing MSD Portugal.
