Gilberto Gil returned to Portugal for three concerts in Lisbon and Porto, with lots of joy, samba, rock n’ roll, and family in a night full of happiness and music that filled the heart.
The Brazilian legend entered the stage with an open smile, where he was welcomed by a full room, and lots of applause, on this first night of the coliseum sold out to see and hear him and dance to the sound of his most beautiful songs, which have always accompanied us, one of the best Brazilian artists, a talent from the world and the Portuguese language.
In the company of his two sons, Bem Gil and José Gil, by two grandchildren João Gil and Flor Gil, Gilberto, 81 years old, with a life of stories, some of which he told during the concert, amazed all the fans, song by song, from start to finish.
He greeted the Brazilians, who took the opportunity to satisfy their homesickness, and he greeted the Portuguese, who always welcome him, Gilberto comments “Today the good night is in the same language”, remembering that before being in Portugal he passed through Italy, Belgium, France or England, where presentation must always be in two languages.
Gilberto Gil opened with “Expresso 2222” and “Viramundo”, and soon won over the entire audience, who cheered from song to song, followed by “Chiclete com Banana”, “Upa Neguinho”, “Garota de Ipanema”, “Moon River” among many other mythical songs, in which the entire coliseum sang in chorus, it was with “Aquele Abraço” and “Toda a Menina Baiana” that he said goodbye, in a fantastic night with the signature Im.Par.
