ARCO Foundation has acquired works worth 140,000 euros at ARCO / 2019
The ARCO Foundation has acquired works worth 140,000 euros at the International Contemporary Art Fair – ARCO, which ends today, announced the Madrid Trade Fair Authority (IFEMA).
[dropcap type=”background”]T[/dropcap]he works acquired, with the assistance of Vincent Honoré and Manuel Segade, correspond to four artists, Marion Verboom, Jerome Poggi Gallery, Santiago de Paoli, Jocelyn Wolff, Henrik Olese, Chantal Crousel, and Rodrigo Hernández, Chertlüdde Galerie, which will be part of the ARCO Foundation Collection, which is located in the Community of Madrid Art Center Two of May (CA2M).
The works were bought from the funds collected at the dinner held last Tuesday, on the occasion of the ‘A’ Prizes, for collectors, according to the same source.
The National Rainha Sofia Art Center in Madrid has acquired 19 works at ARCO by artists Maja Bajevic, Nestor Basterretxea, Andrea Büttner, June Crespo, Alejandro Garrido, Lugan, Rosalind Nashashibi, Marwan Rechmaoui and Azucena Vieites, in the amount of 350,000 euros
The Center for Contemporary Art of the Lima Museum of Art bought a work by Claudia Martinez Garay from the Ginsberg Gallery and the Helga de Alvear Foundation in Cáceres, Andalusia, southern Spain, has acquired works by artists such as Jenny Holzer, Mario Merz, Antonio Ballester Moreno, Jan Dibbets, Minjung Kim and Sol LeVitt, Spanish news agency Efe reported without disclosing the amounts of the purchases.
