At ME Lisbon, art isn’t a decorative detail—it’s the guiding thread that ties the entire experience together.
The first ME by Meliá hotel in Portugal was created as a meeting point for art, culture, and hospitality, with an artistic journey designed to surprise and inspire at first glance.
Curated by Guta Moura Guedes, four original works of art by Fernanda Fragateiro, Silvadesigners, Munnhouse, and René Cruz Tavares occupy prominent positions in the hotel, in dialogue with Lisbon and its creative energy. Diverse techniques and volumes coexist in the same space, transforming the lobby, stairs, and even corridors into a sensorial tour of contemporary Portuguese art.
This ensemble is joined by other interventions that reinforce the artistic dimension of ME Lisbon, such as the three-dimensional tile panel by Maria Ana Vasco Costa, the installation “Everything I Couldn’t Leave Behind” by Studio Astolfi, and the video mapping by Blow Factory, which transforms one of the lobby walls into a living canvas of light and colour.
Completing this living gallery are the works of Alberto van Stokkum, Elsa Rebelo, Oficina Marques, and Anna Westerlund, who explore photography, ceramics, and artisanal design as an extension of the hotel’s creative spirit.
More than a hotel, ME Lisbon is a celebration of art and contemporaneity—a space where every detail invites contemplation, emotion, and discovery.
