The Artway Showcase mentoring program will take place on October 25th at ESMAE – School of Music and Performing Arts, in Porto, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. It is a platform created by Vanessa Pires, director of Artway, a Porto-based organisation dedicated to cultural and artistic management, as well as record production and publishing, with a special focus on classical music and jazz.
The mentoring program was created to support, guide, and showcase emerging artists who demonstrate talent, dedication, and a desire to build a solid career. More than a bridge to the professional market, it is a space for growth, sharing, and mentoring.
Since 2024, the Artway Showcase has also included young musicians recognised by the PJM (Young Musicians Award) – Artway Prize, expanding their careers and offering them real opportunities for growth, visibility, and professional advancement. The target audience for this mentoring program is young emerging artists in classical music, jazz, and other arts; students or professionals at the beginning of their careers; and new or emerging projects seeking opportunities for visibility and development.
The event is open to the public (free admission) and features a comprehensive program that includes roundtables, performances, art installations, speed mentoring, an exhibition of promotional materials, and extended moments for sharing and networking. The event will feature a group of programmers and artistic directors, music and visual arts artists, art/cultural professionals, and experienced cultural managers who will contribute to and enrich the moments of sharing and reflection.

- 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM | 1. Roundtable: “Communication Strategies for Artists” – with artists and professionals in the fields of communication, production, career management, photography, and web.
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM | Coffee break + networking
- 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Performances and exhibitions by registered artists
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Lunch break + networking
- 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM | Performances and conversation with artists: ClandesTrio and Quarteto Caleidoscópio – album presentation
- 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM | 2. Roundtable: “Dialogue between Artists and Cultural Institutions” – with cultural managers, programmers, and artistic directors
- 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM | Speed mentoring (parallel sessions) + coffee break and networking
- 5:30 PM – 6 PM | Performances and exhibitions by registered artists
- 6 PM – 7 PM | 3. Roundtable: “Thinking about artistic programming today” – with cultural managers, programmers, and artistic directors
- 7 PM – 9 PM | Happy hour, networking, and Artway Jazz presentation
