The filming of the second season of the Prime Video original series, Red Queen, has started in Málaga. The new season is based on Loba Negra, the second book in the successful trilogy by acclaimed author Juan Gómez-Jurado, and will feature the participation of Victoria Luengo (Antidisturbios, La habitación de al lado) and Hovik Keuchkerian (La casa de papel, Un amor), who return to the lead roles as Antonia Scott and Jon Gutiérrez, respectively. The new season is being filmed in Málaga and will be released soon, exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories as part of the Prime subscription.

Amazon Prime subscribers in Portugal can enjoy offers, free shipping, and entertainment, all in the same subscription for just 4.99 euros per month or 49.90 euros per year.

Additionally, Prime Video confirmed the presence of Adriana Torrebejano (Machos Alfa, Sin huellas), Silvia Abascal (Montecristo, García!), Mauricio Morales (Vestido de Azul, En fin), Beka Lemonjava (Sin huellas, In from the Cold), Javiera Sky (El despertar, Til death do us part), and Féodor Atkine (Love and Death, Ronin) in the cast.

Vicenta N’Dongo (Días mejores, En la ciudad), Karmele Larrinaga (Go!azen, Ane), Fernando Guallar (Luis Miguel: La serie, Tras la pared), Alex Brendemühl (El creyente, El sueño de Gabrielle), and Bruno Sevilla (El cuerpo en llamas, A Town Called Malice) will also reprise their respective roles in the second season of the series.

Adriana Torrebejano is Lola Moreno, a mysterious woman hiding a big secret. Lola is married to Yuri, an ignorant mobster who is deeply in love and would do anything for her. Beka Lemonjava plays the role of Yuri, the treasurer of the Aslan Orlov clan, a powerful and intimidating man. Féodor Atkine portrays Orlov, a declining legend of brutality, who fears losing his position as the head of operations on the Costa del Sol. Silvia Abascal and Mauricio Morales are inspectors Romero and Belgrano, two police officers who have been battling the monster with a thousand heads that is an organized crime for years, leaving them increasingly exhausted. Javiera Sky plays Loba Negra, an assassin working for the mafia who is as enigmatic as she is relentless.

In the second season of Red Queen, based on Loba Negra, Antonia Scott – our Red Queen – is the smartest person on the planet and appears alongside Jon Gutiérrez – her squire, a temperamental gay police officer. Together they must solve a crime related to the Russian mafia on the Costa del Sol, following the suspicious disappearance of Lola, the wife of a mobster living on the run. Lola is also being pursued by Loba Negra, a hired assassin who will test Antonia’s intelligence.

Antonia and Jon will find themselves amid a web of corruption and conspiracy that goes far beyond what they could imagine. All this happens while their relationship is hanging by a thread, threatened by a chain of secrets and distrust. At the same time, Mentor is following the trail of suspicious deaths of other Red Queens across Europe, a situation that could jeopardize the lives of our two protagonists.

The new season of Red Queen is an action-packed thriller full of suspense, set in the city of Málaga, where nothing is as it seems.

The second season will be directed by Koldo Serra (Sin huellas, La casa de papel). The new edition is produced by Focus Studios (Group Focus) and Dopamine, with Josep Amorós as executive producer alongside Koldo Serra. They are joined by Pere Roca and Helena Medina, the latter and Salvador Perpiñá being the screenwriters of the season.
