The trio of Villarreal Vélez sisters, from Monterrey, Mexico, made their debut in Portugal with a fantastic and energetic concert that won over fans from the first chord.
The Warning, for the first time in Lisbon, chose “S!CK” to perform on the LAV stage, covering the line-up with mastery, which captivated the many fans who filled the room.

A concert with the signature Everything is New, will certainly remain in the memory of those who were present, with highlights, as expected, in “MORE”, “MONEY”, “Survive”, “Automatic Sun” and of course “ERROR”.
The concert ended in an epic way with “Narcisista” and then when called to the stage by the audience, who did not let up, with “EVOLVE”, which brilliantly ended the first visit to Portugal (of many, we hope) of The Warning.

The Warning is a Mexican rock band originating from Monterrey, formed in 2013 by the talented Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela (lead vocals and backing vocals, piano), Paulina (drums, main vocals and backing vocals, piano) and Alejandra (bass, piano, backing vocals).
The Villarreal Vélez sisters grew up in Monterrey, where they received training on various instruments from an early age. Daniela chose the guitar, Paulina embraced the drums and Alejandra chose the bass.

In 2013, the sisters decided to form a rock power trio and The Warning was born. They honed their skills by playing rock songs, often inspired by the Rock Band video game series, and shared their performances on YouTube.
Their version of Metallica’s iconic track “Enter Sandman” went viral among rock fans, racking up more than 20 million views on YouTube. Even Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett praised Paulina’s drumming, saying, “The drummer kicks ass!”

Riding the wave of their viral success, The Warning decided to create their music, using GoFundMe to create a fundraising campaign, which allowed them to record their first EP, Escape the Mind, in 2015.
The band caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres, performing in 2015 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and also participated in a five-week program at Berklee College of Music, in the United States. The growing success of The Warning bore fruit and they signed a five-album deal in 2020 with Lava Records.

In 2023 they opened for Muse, at the Milton Keynes Bowl, United Kingdom, with great success.
Their music, passion and energy on stage continue to take them on the path to rock goddesses.

Conquer Divide opened the LAV stage
The first part was in charge of Conquer Divide, who at 9 pm took to the LAV stage, with different nationalities, the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, presented for 30 minutes, mainly songs from Slow Burn, from 2023, and had the task to warm up for The Warning’s concert, achieving just that with “Paralyzed”, “NEWHAVEN” and “welcome to paradise”, with which they ended.
