Asteroid will pass Earth next week

An asteroid potentially three times the size of Big Ben will pass through Earth next week, warns NASA, which classifies the approach as a close passage.

The asteroid is known as 441987 (2010 NY65) and is 140 to 310 meters in diameter and will pass a distance of 3.7 million kilometers from Earth and at 12 km/s. It is expected that the approach will be made next Wednesday, June 24th.
