Samsung Galaxy European Tea 100 days before the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, Samsung announces the largest group of sponsored athletes ever, including the Portuguese João Almeida.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the official partner of the 2024 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, announced, in the middle of the countdown to the Opening Ceremony for this year’s edition, the athletes of the European Samsung Galaxy Team. In total, 47 athletes are sponsored by Samsung at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, including the Portuguese João Almeida.
Since its formation, this is the largest gathering of Samsung Galaxy Team members ever. Under the motto “Open always wins”, each athlete will share their journey of training and participation in the Games, demonstrating how each piece of equipment provides the necessary support in the different phases of preparation, from training and measurements with the Galaxy Watch or even the camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, for performance evaluation videos.
João Almeida, one of the great promises of Portuguese cycling, is one of the names on the Samsung Portugal team. Being one of the most prominent names in Portuguese sport, the athlete already has several achievements, one of the most recent titles being third place in the individual race at the Giro d’Itália.
For all those who have always dreamed of attending an Olympic Games, that opportunity is now possible with Samsung Portugal. On May 18th, customers who visit the Samsung store in Centro Colombo and NorteShopping and carry a Samsung device with Galaxy AI will be able to win tickets – with accommodation and flights included – to travel to Paris and be present in some of the events to be played in the official stadiums.
