On February 17th (Saturday), starting at 9:30 pm, a concert will take place in the Municipal Auditorium of the Seixal Cultural Forum, performed by Marta Pereira da Costa.
This will be an intimate and vibrant concert, accompanied by the elegant sound of artist Marta’s Portuguese guitar and the jazzy sound of Victor Zamora’s piano.
Paulo Silva, president of Seixal City Council, explains that «this will be another great production that the auditorium will host, among so many excellent annual shows that pass through there. It is true to say that our municipality is at the forefront of cultural and artistic production in Portugal».
For this four-hand project, Marta Pereira challenged Cuban pianist Victor Zamora to create a show with complementary influences and tastes, in which the two instrumentalists create a completely new repertoire.
The result is an intimate and vibrant concert, with the elegant sound of Marta’s Portuguese guitar and the jazzy sound of Victor’s piano. After performing as a duo at the famous Blues Alley in Washington DC, at the NY Guitar Festival and the Kahilu Theater in Hawaii, the artist’s second album, Sem Palavras, is a four-hand work that marks a meeting between the Portuguese guitar and the piano, with original compositions of his own such as «Memórias», «Dia de Feira», «Tempo Parado», «Sem Palavras» and others by names as different as Carlos Paredes, George Gershwin, Joaquín Rodrigo, Chick Corea, José Luis Tinoco and António Pinho Vargas.

6 euros (free entry for young people up to 25 years of age and retired people, 50 per cent discounts for citizens, firefighters and Red Cross volunteers from the municipality of Seixal and employees of Seixal municipalities).
