Avaí, by Augusto Inácio, adds second victory in Brazil
Avaí, trained by the Portuguese Augusto Inácio, today scored his second victory in the Santa Catarina football championship, in Brazil, by beating the leader Figueirense, 2-0, in the fourth round of the competition.
In Florianópolis, Pedro Castro, in the 29th minute, and Jonathan, in the 76th, scored the winning goals for the team of Inácio, who provisionally joined the group of commanders of the competition, with Figueirense, Juventus Jaraguá, and Marcílio Dias.
The match was interrupted for about 30 minutes during the second half, due to problems with the fans. According to the Brazilian press, a fan even invaded the pitch and went to the bank of Avaí, in an attempt to attack one of the players of that team, leading to police intervention.
On the next round, on February 8, Avaí receives Criciúma, sixth-ranked.
