2021 edition of the ART&TUR Festival will have a competition for bloggers and bet on small productions
The 2021 edition of ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival will take place from October 26th to 29th, in Aveiro, but two initiatives related to the event are already underway.
The first initiative is “Blogging Aveiro”. This is a contest that debuts in this year’s edition and aims to reinforce the visibility of blogger publications dedicated to the city of Aveiro and its region.
For the Mayor of Aveiro (CMA), José Ribau Esteves, ART&TUR is “an excellent pretext to make known fantastic territories”, underlining the importance of Turismo Centro de Portugal in winning this Festival for the Centro Region and leaving the guarantee that “Aveiro will be a good heir to the work that was done in Torres Vedras (2019) and in Viseu (2020)”, he highlighted.
The second initiative is “Art&Factory”, which has been part of the festival’s program since 2018, always with great success. This is a competition between teams of creatives, who are challenged to make small productions, with very low budget but great creative value, in the region of Aveiro. The novelty this year is that, in addition to videos, photographs can compete.
Although simple, the challenge is daring, since the videos or photographic collections have to be produced within a period of five days, for their premiere at ART&TUR.
The competition is open to the participation of two types of competitors: audiovisual sector creatives, in the Art&Factory Pro competition; and teams of Higher or Vocational Education students at Art&Factory Schools.
