Paper planes fly in Centro Colombo
The shopping centre hosts the 2022 Red Bull Paper Wings national final next Saturday.
On April 9th, Centro Colombo will be filled with paper planes with the holding of the National Final of the Paper Plane World Championship, the Red Bull Paper Wings. The selection of national representatives for the world final takes place from 15:00, in the Central Square of the shopping centre.
The final test is carried out in four qualifying sessions, in the two categories evaluated in person, distance and flight duration. The acrobatics category runs online, until April 21, exclusively on TikTok. Three Portuguese students will go to the world final.
The finalists are university students from several cities in the country, namely from Faro, from the University of Algarve, from Porto, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, and from Lisbon, from the NOVA School of Science and Technology, from the NOVA School of Business and Economics and Instituto Superior Técnico.
The Red Bull Paper Wings 2022 world final has the participation of 62 countries, including Portugal, and will take place from May 12th to 14th, at Hangar 7 at Salzburg Airport (Austria). The world champion of each category gets a weekend experience with the famous Flying Bulls.
