For family reasons, the singer Ayo was forced to change the date of her concert in Portugal. Fortunately for the fans, the wait won’t belong as the new date is the following month, more precisely on the 5th of October.
Ayo, a German singer of Nigerian descent, returns to our country for an intimate concert at the Tivoli BBVA Theater and brings a very special guest, pianist Gaël Rakotondrabe.
With a career spanning over 20 years, Ayo offers the world the vision of someone who has been through a lot but still prefers to see the world with the eyes of her heart. She sings of the beauty of human relationships under the complex influence of her origins. She is without a doubt, one of the greatest interpreters and songwriters of our time.
Brought to the spotlight in 2006 with the single “Down on my knees“, an immediate worldwide success, taken from her debut album “Joyful“, the singer never failed to capture the public with her timbre and her light, many hits after.
Always current, in 2019 she releases “Royal“, her latest record, from which the singles «Beautiful», «Rosie Blue» and «Throw It Away» come out. In it, the artist continues to surprise by showing her references and the evolution of her musical style, with nuances of Folk, Soul and Jazz.
At the concert in Lisbon, Ayo will be accompanied by the prodigious pianist Gaël Rakotondrabe, who has previously collaborated with David Byrne, CocoRosie, Woodkid, among others.
