The soundtrack of the long-awaited film “Babylon”, which premieres in Portuguese cinemas on January 19, 2023, is now available on digital platforms.
The soundtrack consists of 48 songs by Justin Hurwitz (“La La Land”, “Whiplash”, “First Man”), an Oscar-winning composer, and follows the release of the first two singles: “Call Me Nanny” and “Voodoo Mama”.
Justin Hurwitz says: “After working for three years on the music for ‘Babylon’, I couldn’t be more excited to be releasing the soundtrack with Interscope. Six years ago they were fantastic partners on the soundtrack to ‘La La Land’ and I’m happy to be collaborating again on this new song.”
“Babylon,” which contains over two hours of original music, was written and performed by Damien Chazelle (“La La Land,” “Whiplash,” “First Man”). The film is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles, starring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva, with a cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. A story of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of several characters during an era of rampant decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.
