Bárbara Tinoco presents her debut album at Lounge D at Casino Estoril on August 23

The singer and songwriter Bárbara Tinoco will perform on the 23rd of August, at 10pm, at Casino Estoril. The artist takes the stage at Lounge D to perform the best compositions from her debut album “Bárbara”, released in 2021. Admission is free, but for those who wish, there is also the alternative of a show with a table reservation ( mandatory minimum consumption from 18 €).

Born in Lisbon in 1998, Bárbara Tinoco is self-taught in guitar and singing. She studied Musical Sciences at the Nova Faculty of Social and Human Sciences. In 2018, she spoke during her very brief passage through the casting phase of the program “The Voice Portugal”, where, although she was not selected, she had the opportunity to show an original theme. It is this theme-“Antes Dela Dizer Que Sim”-that she released in 2019 as her debut single, recorded at RF Estúdio and Estúdio Zeco by Ricardo Ferreira, João Só and Nuno Simões. The video already has more than 10 million views on YouTube. The second single – “Sei Lá” – was released in December of that year.

Bárbara Tinoco was invited, at the end of 2019, to perform the first part of the concerts of João Só’s “Só 10 Anos” tour, having then made her solo debut at Cineteatro Capitólio. In 2020, she won 2nd place in the grand finale of the RTP da Canção Festival, performing a song by Tiago Nacarato, “Passe-Partout”. Even though it didn’t win, the theme received the maximum rating given by the public.

After the success of the partnership, they started the “Passe-Partout” project, a joint tour in which they interpret themes from their respective repertoires, as well as others, by artists who have inspired and influenced them until now. In July, he saw his still short career being recognized for the first time, at the 2nd gala of the PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards, winning the Revelation Artist award. In September, she finally took the stage at Sala Suggia at Casa da Música, in Porto, in four sold-out concerts. In that same year, she presented two more singles: “A Fugir de Ser” was released in July, followed by “Outras Línguas” in October.

In April 2021, she released an EP of collaborations, in which some of the great names of current Portuguese music participate: António Zambujo, Bárbara Bandeira, Carlão, Carolina Deslandes, Diana Martinez and Tyoz. “Cidade”, with Bárbara Bandeira, is the lead single from the EP, and the video reached the mark of 200 thousand views on youtube in just 3 days.

But even before the release of her first album, she won the Golden Globe in the category of Best Performer, for which she was nominated alongside Camané, Carolina Deslandes, Dino D’Santiago, and Lena d’Água.
