After a successful 2024 season, the Brazilian group returns with “Improvável”; the show will tour stages in Porto and Lisbon.
Cia. Barbixas returns to Portugal this week with the show “Improvável.” The tour begins on September 4th at the Braga Forum and continues to the Sá da Bandeira Theatre in Porto on the 6th and 7th, before concluding in the capital with performances at the Aula Magna in Lisbon on September 10th and 11th.
The return follows the success of the 2024 season in Portugal, which sold out performances and attracted over 5,500 spectators. This year, the group will once again feature special guest appearances by Portuguese artists Mário Bomba and Telmo Ramalho, strengthening its connection with the local audience.
Created in 2007, “Improvável” has a simple structure: a master of ceremonies proposes games based on themes suggested by the audience, and the actors, without a script, create scenes on the spot. Each performance is different, marked by agile, intelligent, and surprising humour.
Formed by Anderson Bizzocchi, Elidio Sanna, and Daniel Nascimento, the group has performed in several countries in Europe and Latin America, attracting over 1 million spectators. Direct interaction with the audience is the essence of the show, making each night unique.
Beyond the stage, Barbixas is a phenomenon on social media: on Instagram, they have over 905,000 followers, and on YouTube, they have over 3.92 million subscribers and 1.39 billion views. This digital reach is reflected in the packed houses they perform in, solidifying the group as an international reference in theatrical improvisation.
