Barcelona wins the Handball Champions League
Barcelona beat Aalborg (36-23) in the Champions League final. Remember that the race was decided in a final for four, in Cologne, Germany.
Aleix Abelló Gómez, was the highlight of the match with nine decisive goals for the victory that Catalan, which also had the contribution of Luís Frade (one goal). On the Danish side note for Lukas Sandell, with eight goals.
Five years later, Barcelona won the Champions League again. It is the 10th European title for the Catalans’ history.
