Barcelona went to the Light to see Jovic, but took notes of Portuguese duo

Catalan club attentive to Portugal-Serbia.

The tie between Portugal and Serbia (1-1), registered on Monday and referring to the qualifying phase for the Euro’2020, had special appearances in the stands of the Stadium of Light. Barcelona was one of the teams that were represented with the intention of seeing in action Luka Jovic, a young Serbian who is part of the tables of Benfica but who is lent to Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Jovic was not used and the Blaugrana club ended up taking notes on Raphael Guerreiro and Ruben Dias.

Raphael Guerreiro’s profile is named as the one that most fits the needs of the Catalan team and recalls the ‘denial’ given by the Portuguese international in 2016 when he moved to Borussia Dortmund.

Also, Rúben Dias was followed with special attention since the young defender of Benfica is seen as an alternative in the next market of transfers.

The World Deportivo also highlights the absence of João Félix, by injury, and Rúben Neves, by technical option, in the match. Both, according to the Catalan publication, were two of the players who would also be under observation.
