Bateu Matou will close the lineup of the 2023 edition of the Europavox Festival in Clermont Ferrant – France, on the 2nd of July.
“It was a matter of time and the right opportunity.
We wanted to start a relationship with central Europe but it had to be with the right partners and an audience that understood us. And that’s why this invitation from the Europavox platform for us to play at their festival in France couldn’t have gone better. On top of that, we’re going to close the stage on the last day of the festival, which means we’re going to set the stage on fire. 2023 starts to look like a year to level up.”
Born 15 years ago, Europavox brings together European artists from the most diverse languages and styles in seven Festivals that take place throughout Europe.
This year Bateu Matou, who is the only Portuguese band in this edition, is taking their electronic, progressive sound to France, but very much based on the roots of Portuguese and African music.
