Beaches cleaned by volunteers
On June 8, about 1,250 volunteers will clean 2.7 kilometres of the maritime beaches of Porto, from Pastora beach to Castelo do Queijo, in a dedicated action on the planet and organized by SEA LIFE Porto.
The Porto aquarium, located in the Plaza Gonçalves Zarco, SEA LIFE Porto organized actions dedicated to the planet, said in a press release. Activities include ‘plogging’, lectures and the ‘Plastic Sea’ exhibition.
The cleanup will start at 10:00 am in the 2.7-kilometre area, covering the entire maritime coast of Oporto. Various schools, associations, scout bodies will collaborate, even companies that have already signed up, and adult groups and children all volunteers.
This event has the support of the Porto Protocol and the City Hall.
