Carioca de coração, nova-iorquina de nascença, Bebel Gilberto é filha de João Gilberto e Miúcha, sobrinha de Chico Buarque. Inspirou-se na fonte familiar da bossa nova e conquistou a sua identidade musical e projeção internacional.

A Carioca at heart, New York by birth, Bebel Gilberto is the daughter of João Gilberto and Miúcha, the niece of Chico Buarque. She was inspired by the familiar font of bossa nova and conquered her musical identity and international projection.
If there is a name that today rhymes perfectly with bossa nova, it is, without a doubt, Bebel Gilberto. With more than 30 years of career, the singer signed her first homonymous record in 1986. But, in the late 90s, the electronic explosion associated with the modernist concept of the “lounge” opened up a new space for her that came to fill with today classic “Tanto Tempo”, released in 2000.
Since then, Bebel Gilberto has garnered applause all over the world, from Japan to Europe and the United States, was awarded several prestigious Grammy nominations, participated in the famous Red Hot + Rio series and collaborated with important artists in addition to recording for historic jazz labels like Verve.
