Bebel Gilberto is back in Portugal to present “Now”, the album released in 2020.
Accompanied by two more musicians, Bebel promises to share all the pearls of this new work without forgetting, obviously, the highlights of her brilliant career.
If there’s a name that rhymes perfectly with bossa nova today, it’s undoubtedly Bebel Gilberto’s. The singer has been in her career for over 30 years, having signed her first homonymous record in 1986. But in the late 90s, the electronic explosion associated with the modernist concept of the “lounge” opened up a new space for her, which she came to fill with today’s classic “Tanto Tempo“, released in 2000.
Since then, Bebel has garnered applause all over the world, from Japan to Europe and the United States, has been honored with several prestigious Grammy nominations, participated in the famous Red Hot+ Rio series and collaborated with important artists as well as recording for historic labels of jazz like Verve.
