Becky Hill’s status as a two-time BRIT Award winner, with 10 billion streams and seven UK Top 10 hits to her name, has continued to grow with her latest singles.
Now, Becky Hill pushes that status forward to 2024 as anticipation builds for her second album, unveiling the single “NEVER BE ALONE” featuring dance music pioneer Sonny Fodera.
“Never Be Alone” draws on Becky’s influences from the world of club culture. Her dancefloor diva spirit mixed with Sonny Fodera’s production has an intoxicating wave of dub bass, strong beats, luminous synths and atmospheric breakdowns that allow the song to hit us hard.
Becky says: “‘Never Be Alone’ was born out of a post-lockdown world where isolation and distance were imposed on the world. As my partner and I work on music, we felt the full force of a lockdown imposed on the events industry Our entire career was in jeopardy and I truly felt the downward spiral of someone I loved, who had worked her entire adult life curating festivals and clubs.
What I love about this single is that it has transcended lockdown and feels so relevant even in a time where we now need to be there for each other more than ever. I’ve been playing it at my shows over the summer and it’s been a joy to see the audience’s reaction, but I’m excited to show people what Sonny Fodera added to this anthem.”
Australian-born, London-based artist Sonny Fodera’s talent for house music with palpable emotions has made him “one of the house’s biggest attractions” (“Mixmag”). The strength of his original productions and remixes have made him a go-to collaborator with world-renowned artists including Tiesto, Diplo, MK and 21 Savage.
Live, the immense demand for Becky’s autumn tour of the UK and Ireland saw 80,000 of its 130,000 tickets sold out in just three days, leading to the addition of a series of outdoor summer concerts, along with specific dates in festivals. Currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, she will make her first tour of continental Europe in April, which will cover seven countries.
