The opera takes to the stage in Setúbal with internationally renowned artists, starts this Monday and continues until August 18th.
If you like opera, then this is the perfect opportunity to see and hear internationally renowned artists. From 5 to 18 August, the city of Setúbal ‘opens its doors’ to the Opera Festival which brings together the most promising voices in the lyrical world.
Cantofest, so called this Festival, will be attended by a group of internationally renowned teachers and will help numerous opera singers from Portugal, Brazil, Russia, the Netherlands, Serbia, Moldova, South Korea, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan and United States of America honing their knowledge of vocal technique.
And if you are wondering which guest teachers are going to be, let us uncover your curiosity: Olga Makarina of The Metropolitan Opera; Ugo Mahieux from L’Opera de Paris; Karina Pogosbekova, piano coach in Moscow; Vlad Iftinca of the Metropolitan Opera and Frankfurt Opera; Katia Borissova from the Mozarteum of Salzburg and Marcos Santos from the University of Évora are just some of the professors invited to this initiative.
The end of the Festival will be marked with an Opera Gala at the Luísa Todi Forum on August 15 at 9.30 pm and tickets will cost 5 euros.
