Bela Noia announces the first dates of the 2024 tour

Bela Noia by Pedro Vieira, the most recent band from Viseu joined by Gonçalo Alegre, Leonardo Outeiro and Miguel Rodrigues, presents their debut album Os miúdos está bem with a series of concerts across the country.
The “kids” take to the streets in January 2024 and go to Torres Vedras (Bang Venue) on the 6th for the first concert of the year. Later that month they will visit Maus Hábitos, on the 26th in Porto and the 27th in Vila Real. On February 10th, vocalist and guitarist Pedro Vieira will go to the capital, in an intimate solo concert in a local bookstore (Honey Sessions), where he presents the “kids” in their most raw state. The journey continues and we move on to Famalicão (March 22nd at Casa do Artista Amador) and again to Lisbon (May 10th at BOTA Anjos). On June 28th, Bela Noia returns home in a special concert at Teatro Viriato in Viseu, accompanied by friends and guests.
The album Os miúdos está bem is the culmination of Pedro Vieira’s already very tired thoughts. The Viseense artist creates Bela Noia as a way of expressing himself and singing, ending up passing on his memories and opinions to these “kids”.
Interestingly, Bela Noia only became a band after the album was ready. The creation process begins with necessity and, from there, Pedro’s songs emerge, he ends up joining Gonçalo Alegre in producing and recording the songs. “Os miúdos estão bem” was produced and recorded in the space of a month and brought Miguel Rodrigues to the group who, when recording the group’s drums and percussions, realized that the union was the most pleasurable path to follow. Still without a name at this recording stage, the “almost band” borrowed the voices of friends to sing their pains and, in a wonderful resolution of the universe, the wonderful voice of singer Teresa Melo Campos das Sopa de Pedra stars and leads the choirs of themes! Finally, the songs were in the hands of Nuxo Espinheira for mixing and mastering the album. Leonardo Outeiro comes in to interpret the songs on guitar, but ends up staying and contributing to the creative process!
The Kids Are Alright is a melancholic album that mourns the pains of growing up and all the doubts that arise! Look for an answer to things that don’t always have an answer and reflect on time and love! The songs complement each other in the order in which they are found and surprised with their sound and the innovative discourse they present in structural terms. Despite everything, Pedro Vieira’s influences are not obvious and hide behind each song, finding something folk or rock, some pleasant and lively noises and melodies, simple words and choruses that remain in your head. Despite its taciturn nature, the album cradles us in its pain with a strangely positive attitude.
