Benfica beats Maritimo in Madeira

Marítimo scored first, by Rodrigo Pinho before the initial quarter of an hour, after an error by Otamendi, but Pizzi equalized in the first half and Everton sealed the turnaround. After two defeats, against SC Braga and Boavista, Benfica returned to triumphs in the championship.

Benfica now has 18 points, being equaled with SC Braga, in the pursuit of the leader Sporting, who has 22 points. Marítimo completes the fifth consecutive game without winning in the championship and is in the penultimate place, with seven points.
