Benfica beats VC Viana and consolidates championship lead

Benfica had no trouble beating VC Viana 0-3 on Saturday in matchday 15 of the national volleyball championship.

The incarnated champions, in title, showed all their power and won the first set by 18-25, the second by 14-25 and the third by 15-25, in a journey marked by three postponed games.

With this result, Marcel Matz’s men kept the lead with 44 points and increased to seven the advantage over second-placed Sporting, who will take the field on January 12th against Leixões.
