Benfica thrashed Racing Union and qualified for the second round of the Champions League (7-0)

This Saturday, Benfica qualified for the second round of access to the group stage of the Women’s Football Champions League, by thrashing Luxembourg’s Racing Union, 7-0.

In the tournament in Zenica, Bosnia, Benfica beat the Israeli side Kiryat Gat on Wednesday (4-0), ensuring their presence in this Saturday’s decisive game, in which came a new rout, with goals from Catarina Amado (1 minute ), Valéria Cantuário (21 and 90+4) and Francisca Nazareth (40 and 42, gp), Nycole Raysla (90, gp) and Beatriz Cameirão (90+3).

On Sunday, the Portuguese team enters the draw for the second round, from 12.00 hours, which defines the tie for the 24 teams fighting for the last 12 spots in the group stage, a phase that already includes champions Barcelona, PSG, Bayern and Chelsea, directly counted.

The second round, two-way, takes place between August 31st and September 1st, and between September 8th and 9th.
