Benfica loses in Lyon and makes it difficult to continue in the competition

Benfica conceded a defeat by Tuesday’s visit to Lyon (1-3) in matchday four of the Champions League group stage. The defeat compromises the continuity of the incarnated in the millionaire test.

Lyon’s strong start made Benfica very stunned in the first half and in the second half the reaction of Bruno Lage’s men was insufficient.

Benfica now have three points and are bottom of Group G. With six points to play, the eagles face a difficult task and even the ‘Europa League’ move may not happen.
