Benfica beat Spartak in a 3rd qualifying round match of the Champions League, with Rafa Silva and Gilberto scoring the goals that bring Benfica closer to qualifying.
Benfica has an important victory for Russia, they beat Spartak Moscow, by 2-0, the Lisbon team thus gives a very important step to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League and raise many millions.
Rafa Silva scored the first for Benfica on 51 minutes, Gilberto increased it to 2-0 on 73′, in the meeting between the two Portuguese coaches, Jorge Jesus and Rui Vitória.
The second leg will take place on August 10 at Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon.
