Benfica wins women’s basketball for the first time in Portugal

Benfica, the host of the “final four”, won the Portuguese women’s basketball cup for the first time against Vitória de Guimarães 85-63.

The Lisbon team had already won at the interval the final of the 2020/21 edition by 45-23, at Pavilhão Fidelidade, in Lisbon, proof that they played for the first time in 1963/64, being the 15th club to inscribe their name in the track record of winners of the competition.

CIF and CAB Madeira with seven trophies lead the ranking of winners of this event.
