Benson Boone is the new confirmation of NOS Alive’25

Benson Boone arrives for the first time in Portugal to perform on the first day of NOS Alive’25. After the hit “Beautiful Things” catapulted him to global success, he arrived in July 2025 at NOS Stage to present his debut album.

Benson Boone is on his way to becoming one of the new pop stars. The Washington-based artist captured attention in 2021 with the debut single “Ghost Town”, which entered the Billboard Hot 100.

Recently released the debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades, highlighting the global success “Beautiful Things”, which led to the Billboard Global 200. For Benson Boone, Fireworks & Rollerblades contain several meanings. The title of his debut album comes from one of his favourite lyrics, reflecting his meteoric rise. “The last two years of my life, since I started writing and releasing music, have passed so quickly and were so unexpected,” explains Boone. “I never thought my life was like this two years ago. Everything happened so quickly, and it reminds me of fireworks tied to skates, like a rocket taking off.”

Influenced by artists like Billy Joel and Adele, whose voices dominated the songs, Boone discovered his talent in 2019 by participating in a band contest. In 2021, he was discovered by Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and signed to Night Street Records. After two years of writing, the album began to take shape with the song “Hello Love”. Fireworks & Rollerblades is a collection of songs that Boone considers authentic and personal. Worked with producers and writers like Jack LaFrantz and Evan Blair, creating themes such as “Beautiful Things” (a global success) and “Slow It Down” (a reflection of his desire to slow down and be present). Boone also wrote exciting songs like “Cry” and the piano ballad “Love of Mine,” showing a vulnerable and nostalgic side. “Something I believe in deeply is that I can write a good song, but with the people involved on this album, I can create something even better,” says Boone.

On July 10th, the new pop sensation debuts at NOS Stage of NOS Alive’25, along with names like Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan.
