Bermim presents the new video “Cupido” and announces a show in Vila do Conde

The musical project Bermim takes the stage at the Vila do Conde Municipal Auditorium on November 28, at 9:30 pm, to perform its debut album live, released in May at the Faialense Theater, as part of the RTP Açores 50th anniversary celebrations.
It’s worth noting that this concert will also feature new songs, as part of a filmed evening featuring special guests.
Following the success of its debut concert—which featured artists such as Aníbal Raposo, António Bulcão, Carlos Alberto Moniz, Luís Alberto Bettencourt, and Zeca Medeiros—Bermim now brings its acoustic and poetic sound to the mainland, in a celebration of music and words.
Following the single “Renascer,” with music and lyrics by Filipe Fonseca, the album now features the song “Cupido,” which portrays the story of an imperfect love, with music by Carlos Alberto Moniz and lyrics by Liliana Lima.
Created by musician and producer Filipe Fonseca, of Azorean origins but born in Vila Nova de Gaia, the project arose from an invitation to singer Maria Eduarda (Duda) and is inspired by the resilience and serenity of the plant that gives it its name. The debut album is a tribute to the Azores, bringing together compositions by Azorean composers—Carlos Alberto Moniz, António Bulcão, Zeca Medeiros, Aníbal Raposo, and Luís Alberto Bettencourt—as well as original songs by Filipe Fonseca, who is responsible for all the musical arrangements.
Bermim also highlights the power of Portuguese words and poetry, giving voice to texts by Natália Correia, Gabriela Silva, Victor Rui Dores, among others.
With an engaging and contemporary sound, Bermim is a journey that defines a very unique style, a connection between the experience of authentic music and the Portuguese cultural heritage that merges with originality and emotion.
