Birdy and Maria Becerra are the new confirmations for North Festival
The North Festival continues to strive to surprise the public and, this time announces two more big names for the 2024 edition.
British singer Birdy, who will perform on May 25th – the day Keane and Tom Odell take the stage – is the first big news. Maria Becerra, a Latin music sensation, will take the stage at Parque de Serralves on the first day of the festival, May 24, joining the already confirmed Myke Towers.
Birdy: Voice marked by simplicity and melancholic beauty
Birdy, known for her unique and angelic voice, will enchant the audience with her performance on the second day of the festival. The British artist, whose talent has already stood out in hits such as “Skinny Love” and “People Help the People”, promises an engaging and captivating performance, marked by melancholic beauty. With a unique ability to convey deep emotions through her music, Birdy will create unforgettable moments for the North Festival audience.
Her most recent album, “Portraits”, released in 2023, marked a new chapter in her career with the exploration of new sounds. The work was critically acclaimed and achieved excellent commercial results, reaching the top 20 in the United Kingdom and over 21 million streams worldwide. With three albums in the top 5 and more than eight million records sold, Birdy is, today, one of the main British talents.
Maria Becerra: Argentine artist will make Serralves dance
Maria Becerra, an Argentine reggaeton sensation, will heat the stage on the first day of the festival. Known for her unique style and danceable beats, Becerra promises an electrifying performance that will make the audience vibrate. With hits such as “Corazón Vacío” and “Te Cura”, the Argentine singer is one of the most promising artists on the Latin American music scene and will certainly captivate the audience present at the festival.
With an impressive fan base exceeding 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Maria Becerra has earned her place as one of the top stars in contemporary Latin music. Last year, the artist received awards such as “Best Global Latin Music Video” at the LOS40 Music Awards and, in 2023, she was nominated for the Latin Grammys in several categories, namely “Song of the Year”, with the song “Amigos”, which features with the participation of Pablo Alborán.
Remember that the North Festival will also welcome Puerto Rican singer Myke Towers, who will perform on the first day of the festival, on May 24th. For the second day, May 25th, Keane and Tom Odell are confirmed. The last day, May 26th, will be a carnival celebration with Claudia Leitte, Bell Marques and the group Menos é Mais. Tickets for North Festival 2024 are now available at BOL. The general pass for the three days, in limited pre-sale, has a special price of 99 euros. Daily tickets cost 55 euros and a daily ticket for the VIP Zone costs 150 euros.
