«Bô Natal, Macedo! Onde a Magia Acontece» animates the municipality
until January 6th
“Bô Natal, Macedo! Onde a Magia Acontece.” This is the proposal that the new executive of Macedo de Cavaleiros presents for a whole month of celebrations, entertainment, and Christmas spirit.
Throughout the month, the city hosts a diverse program that includes the new recreation space with the Fun Track skating rink, the slide, Santa’s House, the Christmas Market, themed workshops, the Flavours Market, street entertainment, and a series of activities involving associations and agents of the municipality.
The mayor of Macedo de Cavaleiros, Sérgio Borges, emphasises that “Bô Natal” symbolises a new energy for the municipality, representing more than just the arrival of the Christmas season. “This initiative represents the commitment we have made to restore centrality and dynamism to the heart of our city. We want Macedo to be a place where people meet and participate. The new playful space of ‘Bô Natal’ comes precisely with this ambition,” the mayor points out.
The event also bets on new economic dynamics, because “if Christmas is joy, family, unity and magic, it is also economy, and with the Christmas Market and the creation of a space for tasting the flavors of the season, we are sure that we will be able to attract more visitors to our municipality and give more visibility and vitality to local commerce,” believes Sérgio Borges, also reinforcing the human and solidarity dimension of the event with initiatives of proximity and aimed at those who need it most. It is in this context that there will be a moment dedicated to solidarity and community mobilisation so that the holiday season “is experienced with dignity by all and that the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros is an example of unity and a spirit of mutual help”.
