Bon Iver, the American folk band, led and founded by Justin Vernon, presents the album “i,i” on November 11, 2022 at Altice Arena.

When Bon Iver released “For Emma, Forever Ago” in early 2008, it introduced Justin Vernon as one of the most talented songwriters of his generation and revealed a sound that was distinct. His successor, the self-titled “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” brought something more frenetic. In 2016 with the third album “22,A Million”, Vernon returned to see something different and this represented a huge milestone, with a clear stylistic change, where the acoustic guitars are replaced by keyboards and synthesizers, abandoning all the folk essence.

According to Bon Iver, the band’s fourth album “i,i” and these 13 new songs complete a cycle: from the winter of “For Emma, Forever Ago” came the frenzied spring of “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” and the runaway summer of “22, A Million”, and the autumn that comes with “i,i”.

The recording sessions for this last work included Sean Carey, Andrew Fitzpatrick, Mike Lewis, Matt McCaughan and Justin Vernon, with Rob Moose and Jenn Wasner. The album also features contributions from James Blake, BJ Burton, Brad and Philip Cook, Aaron and Bryce Dessner, Trever Hagen, Zach Hanson, Bruce Hornsby, Channy Leaneagh, Rob Moose, Naeem, Velvet Negroni, Buddy Ross, Marta Salogni, Francis Starlite, Moses Sumney and the members of TU Dance.

The three released albums were the target of strong praise from critics and fans, with many of the themes airing on major radio stations worldwide, such as “Skinny Love”, “Holocene” or “33 “God””. With just three studio jobs, Bon Iver has already won two Grammys in the “Best Alternative Music Album” and “Best New Artist” categories.

There’s a magic in every Bon Iver show that you won’t want to miss, on November 11, 2022, at the Altice Arena.
