Braga beats Vitória SC and returns to 3rd place

Sporting de Braga reached this Thursday the first victory since the restart of the championship, when they beat Vitória SC, by 3-2, in a match related to the 28th round of the Portuguese championship.

Custódio Castro’s men entered the match in the best way, and they had already won the first minute of the game. Galeno served Paulinho who, without a mark, put the home team to win after 55 seconds.

Vitória responded to this early goal with a draw after 15 minutes. André Horta fouled André André inside the penalty area and the captain turned the penalty into a goal.

After starting to lose, Ivo Vieira’s team completed the turnaround in the half-hour, after a good job by Ola John. The Dutch winger took off in the left aisle and crossed the line for Bruno Duarte’s head, thus putting the Guimarães people at an advantage in the encounter.

The tie in this scorching encounter would come back practically over the whistle for the break. Sporting de Braga leveled the score again with a great goal from Trincão on 42 minutes. The future Barcelona player risked a cross-shot and scored a beautiful goal that will certainly be the best of the season.

After a crazy first half, the complementary stage could not be left behind and Sp. Braga took the lead again after 66 minutes. Galeno, who had been on Paulinho’s goal play, stole the ball from Ola John and continued down the corridor, stopping only when he put the ball in the back of the net.

With this result, Sporting de Braga jumps back to the podium of the classification with 50 points and is waiting for the game between Belenenses SAD and Sporting to know if they keep the third position. Vitória SC is seventh with 40 points.
