Braga is the second Best European Destination of 2019
At the head of the Minhota city was only the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
[dropcap type=”default”]T[/dropcap]he city of Braga was distinguished on Tuesday, with the second place in the ranking of the Best European Destination of 2019, a ‘competition’ promoted by European Best Destinations.
The first place was handed over to Budapest (Hungary) which collected 62,128 votes, followed by Braga with 59,092 votes and, closing the podium, Monte Isola in Italy.
The organization describes the city as “brilliant, charming and full of life … offering the best of Portugal in a friendly and warm atmosphere.”
The highlight of Braga’s description is, as it could not be, the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, the Sameiro Sanctuary and the Jardim de Santa Bárbara.
