Braga Municipality joins the Three4Climate project

The Municipality of Braga joins the project Three4Climate, which is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI)

The Municipality of Braga signed a protocol with FCiência.ID – Association for Research and Development of Sciences within the scope of the project “Three4Climate – Three presidencies for the climate”, whose motto is “Think European – Act Local”. The Three4Climate project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI).

The objective is to promote the collaboration of the Municipality, at various levels, for climate action in the territory, reflecting the spirit of the Presidency of the European Council between Germany (second half 2020), Portugal (first half of 2021) and Slovenia (second half of 2021), in a spirit of cooperation at all levels of governance. FCiência.ID is one of Three4Climate‘s partner entities.

In this context, the participation of representatives of the Municipality in two events is foreseen, one in Germany and the other in Slovenia, as well as the reception of participants from Germany and Slovenia in a study visit to be carried out in the Municipality of Braga. The understanding also includes the participation of representatives of the Municipality in the planned events of a European nature – namely a workshop in Brussels and working visits to relevant European organizations and institutions – and in the management and communication actions inherent to the project.

The Municipality of Braga will also be actively involved with the organizations responsible for the implementation of the project to jointly plan the programmed activities and provide the necessary information for a needs assessment of the Municipality and the schools, as well as for the purposes of guidance and evaluation of the project.

FCências.ID is committed, among other aspects, to support the participation of the Municipality in the project activities and to collaborate in the joint development of a dynamic network of European Municipalities for the mitigation of climate change.
