Following the new restrictions inherent to the entry into force of the State of Emergency, in the national territory, and particularly in the municipalities with the greatest risk of contagion, including Bragança, which necessarily aggravate the functioning of economic activities, it is urgent to mitigate the negative impact in companies and workers, with headquarters/tax domicile in the municipality of Bragança, especially micro and small companies.
Thus, the Municipal Executive will present, for deliberation at an Extraordinary Chamber Meeting, to be held at the beginning of next week, the creation of a Municipal Emergency Fund for Business Support “Protecting the Economy and Employment”, with the allocation of 350 thousand euros, for support (lost fund) to companies of up to 25 workers, with headquarters or tax domicile in the municipality of Bragança, who have recorded a drop in invoicing equal to or greater than 25 percent.
The companies covered by this Fund are: retail trade, services, accommodation / hospitality, catering and the like, animation companies, performing arts activities, among others.
Applications take place between 16 and 30 November, using the online form available at www.cm-braganca.pt.
It should be noted that in May of this year, the Municipality of Bragança launched the Municipal Emergency Fund to Support Microenterprises, benefiting 261 companies.
