The Municipality of Bragança, similarly to what it has been implementing since the beginning of the pandemic COVID-19, reinforced the extraordinary and urgent social support measures, by exempting the payment of fees to merchants and companies in April and rents to families from April to June 2021.

Thus, you will proceed to the exemption of payment of:

  • Fees for use/occupation of the Municipal Market (applicable to all contracts), in the month of April 2021;
  • Occupancy rates at fairs (weekly and for land products), in April 2021;
  • Social incomes, from April to June 2021;
  • Rents, concessions, fees or other income due to the Municipality, for commercial spaces/services, installed in municipal spaces, in the month of April 2021.

Hernâni Dinis Venâncio Dias, Mayor, explains: “the reinforcement of social support measures aims to mitigate the economic effects resulting from the pandemic COVID19. Among other measures, we renewed the exemption from the payment of social rents, for three months, to families living in housing estates so that they can have new economic support and face the difficulties that the pandemic has aggravated.”

Bragança currently has three housing estates (Bairro Social da Coxa, Bairro Social da Mãe d’Água and Bairro Social da Previdência), with more than 250 families.
